ACCESS & HOURS
Q: What are your access hours?
A: Standard access is 7am–8pm, 7 days a week — including weekends and bank holidays. Roller shutter access is available during those hours.
Q: Do you offer 24/7 access?
A: Yes. Overnight pedestrian access is available as an optional upgrade, subject to approval. Roller shutter access is available during standard access hours.
Q: How do I access my unit?
A: Once you've booked and paid online, you'll receive a personal PIN code and QR code via email and SMS—usually within minutes. You'll also receive instructions to download our secure access app, available on Apple iOS and Android.
Access works in three steps:
1 - Main entrance — use your PIN, QR code, or smartphone app at the dedicated touchscreen terminal to enter the building.
2 - Lobby entrance — use your PIN, QR code, or smartphone app at the second touchscreen terminal before the unit corridors.
3 - Your unit door — open your unit using the smartphone app on your smartphone. The digital lock built into the door frame responds to your phone via short-range wireless.
Your booking confirmation also includes a short video guide showing exactly where your unit is, so your first visit is completely stress-free.
Q: Do I need a padlock?
A: No. Every unit features secure digital access, so there's no need for a padlock. Only authorised users can unlock your unit using the secure smartphone access app.
BOOKING & CONTRACTS
Q: How do I book a storage unit?
A: Booking is quick and fully online. You can view live prices, check availability, choose your unit, select your move-in date and complete payment in one go. Most customers book in under 3 minutes. No quotes required.
Q: Do I need to visit an office or sign paperwork?
A: No. The entire process is online — from booking and payment to receiving your access code. There is no office to visit and no paperwork to sign in person.
Q: Is there a minimum contract length?
A: No. All units are available on a monthly rolling basis. You can move out with just 2 weeks' notice. No long-term commitments required. You can also change unit size at any time, subject to availability.
Q: Can I change my unit size after I've moved in?
A: Yes. You can upgrade or downsize your unit at any time, subject to availability. Just contact us and we'll arrange it online.
SECURITY & SAFETY
Q: Is the facility monitored and secure?
A: Yes. Stowzi is protected by professionally monitored CCTV, intruder alarms and secure electronic access control. Access events are logged electronically to help keep the facility safe and secure.
Q: Can staff access my unit?
A: No. Units are individually controlled — only you have access to your unit. All access events are logged electronically.
FACILITY & ENVIRONMENT
Q: Is the facility climate controlled?
A: Yes. Stowzi is a fully climate-controlled facility designed to help protect furniture, clothing, electronics and business stock from damp and excessive humidity.
Q: Is storage protected from damp?
A: Yes. Our climate-controlled environment is designed to minimise damp and excess humidity, helping to protect your belongings throughout the year.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We're at 40 Jubilee Drive, Loughborough, LE11 5XS. There's parking on site and a loading bay with wide access for vans and larger vehicles, available 7am–8pm.
WHAT YOU CAN STORE
Q: What can't I store?
A: You cannot store hazardous materials, flammable liquids, illegal items, food, plants, live animals, cash, jewellery or anything that poses a risk to other customers' property. Full terms are provided at the point of booking.
Q: Can I store business stock or trade equipment?
A: Absolutely. Many of our customers are trades and small businesses. Our 7am access is specifically designed for early starts, and the climate-controlled environment protects sensitive stock and equipment. Manage everything — including payments and access — entirely online.
Q: Do you have student storage options?
A: Yes. We have 1m2 cube lockers and 15 sq ft units specifically sized for term-break storage. The entire process is online — book in minutes on your phone, move in the same day.
SUPPORT & PAYMENTS
Q: Is there someone I can contact if I need help?
A: Although Stowzi is a modern self-service facility, our customer support team is available 24/7 by phone if you need assistance. The facility is also remotely monitored to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
Q: How do I pay and manage my account?
A: Everything is managed online — including payments, access, and account details. Payments are taken monthly by card. You'll receive reminders ahead of each renewal.
Q: Do I need my own insurance?
A: You are responsible for insuring your own stored goods. We recommend checking whether your home or business contents insurance already covers items in storage — many policies do. Additional storage insurance is also available at point of booking which is recommended to protect your goods.
