  •  StoreProtect selections and declared Maximum Replacement Value; 
  •  information relating to StoreProtect claims; 
  •  insurance information where relevant; 
  •  CCTV footage; 
  •  vehicle information captured at our Facilities; 
  •  electronic access and smart-lock records; 
  •  entry and exit information; 
  •  IP addresses, device details and website activity; 
  •  cookie and analytics information; and 
  •  information relating to security incidents, complaints, disputes or breaches of our Storage Agreement. 
3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may collect information:

  •  when you make an enquiry; 
  •  when you use our website; 
  •  when you make an online booking; 
  •  when you create or manage your account; 
  •  when you make a payment; 
  •  when you enter or use a Stowzi Facility; 
  •  through CCTV; 
  •  through electronic access-control and smart-lock systems; 
  •  when you contact us; 
  •  when you select StoreProtect; 
  •  when you make a complaint or claim; 
  •  from an authorised user or Alternate Contact Person; 
  •  from payment providers; 
  •  from identity-verification or fraud-prevention providers; 
  •  from debt-recovery providers; 
  •  from our technology and security providers; 
  •  from public sources where lawful; and 
  •  from law-enforcement or other competent authorities where appropriate. 
4. INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE
If you provide information about another person, such as an Alternate Contact Person or authorised user, you should only do so where you are entitled to provide their information.
You should make them aware that their information has been provided to Stowzi and may be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may contact an Alternate Contact Person where reasonably necessary in connection with your account, particularly where we cannot contact you, your account is in default or there is a safety or security issue.
5. WHY WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We only process personal information where we have a lawful basis for doing so.
Contract
We may process information where necessary to enter into or perform our contract with you, including to:
  •  respond to enquiries; 
  •  provide prices and availability; 
  •  process your booking; 
  •  create and manage your account; 
  •  allocate your Unit; 
  •  provide access to your Unit and Facility; 
  •  process payments; 
  •  administer your refundable security deposit; 
  •  manage promotional offers; 
  •  administer StoreProtect; 
  •  communicate with you about your storage; 
  •  manage your move-out; 
  •  issue refunds; 
  •  recover amounts properly due; and 
  •  provide the services you have requested. 
Legal obligations
We may process information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, including:
  •  accounting and taxation requirements; 
  •  data-protection obligations; 
  •  health and safety requirements; 
  •  responding to lawful requests from authorities; 
  •  complying with court orders; and 
  •  maintaining records required by law.

We may process information where necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

6. MARKETING
We may send you information about Stowzi products, services, promotions and offers where permitted by law.
Where consent is required, we will obtain it before sending electronic marketing.
You may stop receiving marketing at any time by:
  •  clicking the unsubscribe link in a marketing message; or 
  •  contacting us at hello@stowzi.co.uk
Stopping marketing communications will not prevent us from sending service-related communications required to manage your booking or Storage Agreement.
7. CCTV
CCTV operates at Stowzi Facilities.
We may use CCTV for:
  •  customer, staff and visitor safety; 
  •  crime prevention and detection; 
  •  protection of Units, Goods and property; 
  •  investigation of theft, damage or unauthorised access; 
  •  investigation of breaches of our Storage Agreement; 
  •  management of health and safety; 
  •  handling complaints, disputes and claims; and 
  •  assisting law-enforcement agencies where appropriate. 
CCTV footage will only be kept for as long as reasonably necessary unless it needs to be retained in connection with an incident, investigation, complaint, claim or legal proceeding.
Access to CCTV footage is restricted to authorised persons.
8. ELECTRONIC ACCESS AND SMART LOCKS
Stowzi uses electronic and/or smart access-control systems to manage access to our Facilities and Units.
These systems may record:
  •  access dates and times; 
  •  entry and exit activity; 
  •  access credentials used; 
  •  Unit access; 
  •  failed access attempts; and 
  •  security events. 
We may use this information to provide access, protect Facility security, investigate incidents, identify unauthorised use, troubleshoot access problems and enforce our Storage Agreement.
9. STOREPROTECT
StoreProtect is an enhanced contractual liability arrangement and is not a contract of insurance.
Where you select StoreProtect, we may process information including:
  •  whether StoreProtect has been accepted or declined; 
  •  your Maximum Replacement Value; 
  •  applicable StoreProtect Charges; 
  •  descriptions of Goods; 
  •  photographs; 
  •  receipts and valuations; 
  •  information relating to loss or damage; 
  •  claim information; and 
  •  correspondence relating to a claim. 
We may share relevant information with organisations involved in administering Stowzi's liability arrangements and claims, including Basil Fry & Company, RCS/Removal Claims Service, insurers, underwriters and professional advisers.
10. PAYMENTS
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
These providers may process information necessary to administer:
  •  initial payments; 
  •  recurring payments; 
  •  security deposits; 
  •  failed payments; 
  •  refunds; and 
  •  fraud-prevention checks. 
Stowzi may receive transaction details and limited payment information from these providers.
Full card information may be processed directly by the payment provider rather than being stored by Stowzi.
11. ONLINE BOOKING AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We use third-party suppliers to help operate our business.
These may include providers of:
  •  online booking and account-management systems; 
  •  payment processing; 
  •  website hosting; 
  •  email and communications; 
  •  electronic access control; 
  •  smart locks; 
  •  CCTV and security; 
  •  identity verification; 
  •  analytics; 
  •  customer support; 
  •  document storage; and 
  •  business administration. 
Where appropriate, these providers process personal information on our behalf and are required to protect it appropriately.
12. IDENTITY, FRAUD AND CREDIT CHECKS
Where reasonably necessary and lawful, we may use identity-verification, fraud-prevention, credit-reference or similar services.

  •  prevent fraudulent bookings; 
  •  protect our Facilities and customers; 
  •  prevent and detect crime;

  •  enforce our Storage Agreement. 
13. STORER CHECK
Where Stowzi uses an industry database or checking service such as Storer Check, information may be processed or shared where lawful for purposes including:
  •  fraud prevention; 
  •  identity checking; 
  •  customer risk management; 
  •  management of serious payment defaults; and 
  •  protection of self-storage businesses and their customers. 
We will only use such services where we have an appropriate lawful basis.

  •  Stora and other booking or account-management providers; 
  •  payment-service providers; 
  •  electronic-lock and access-control providers;

Customer contracts, financial records and related account information may normally be retained for up to six years after the end of our relationship with you, or longer where required by law or reasonably necessary in connection with a claim, dispute or investigation.
CCTV footage, access logs, website information and similar operational records may be retained for shorter periods unless required for an investigation, complaint, claim or legal proceeding.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will securely delete, anonymise or dispose of it.
19. KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SECURE
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from:
